Featherboards are very important safety accessories, will improve work in all Table Saws and Shapers, and are also extremely useful with Bandsaws and Jointers. But they are always hard to position quickly and easily. This new design works on any iron or steel surface. A quick 1/2 turn of the On/Off Knob grips the surface with great force against shear.

. h/ T& m+ B& C/ KThe Pro. Fence Magnetic Featherboard is 2-1/2 x 9" and 1" thick with flexible fingers to firmly keep flat stock either against the fence or down on the table surface. This model uses extra-large rare earth magnets for an extra-strong grip. Use them in pairs - one on the fence and one on the table - and your work will be much safer and also more confident and controlled.. H; o4 N6 w# }4 s! C: |$ g( G

The Deep-Reach Pro. Magnetic Featherboard also has extra-large rare-earth magnets to compensate for the extra shear forces when using the Vertical Attachment (see below). It is 8 x 7" and its extra width allows more flexible positioning on the table surface. (The photo shows one Pro. Fence Featherboard on the rip fence and a Deep-Reach Featherboard on the table surface.); G/ Y# Y1 }5 x3 ~" k, d" z

This is the first real improvement in Featherboard design and function that we have seen in decades and we like it a lot. One Pro. Featherboard is good. Two are even better, but the best combination is one each of the Pro. Fence, Deep Reach and the Vertical Attachment (the Magnetic Master Kit).
